Blood Moon

It’s about 2:45 a.m. April 15, 2014 and I am watching the blood moon (Lunar Eclipse) from our front deck in Missouri. Wow, what a treat… it’s pretty cool that it has only happened a few times in the last 500 years. The Bible mentions a blood moon by saying that it will precede the “day of the Lord”. The most interesting aspect of this sight is that it represents the first of 4 blood moons over the next 18 months. This “tetrad”, as it has been named by NASA; is just 4 consecutive lunar eclipses and they will occur in roughly six-month intervals until October 2015. The blood moons fall on the most significant seasons of Jewish Celebration or Holy Days, the Feasts of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles. So, we need to have our spiritual ears and eyes open to recognize the signs in the heavens.

(Joel 2:31) The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

(Acts 2:19-20) And I (God) will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

(Revelation 6:12-14) When He (Jesus) opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
