Build an Altar

Today is the 1st of 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for Breakthrough in the Nations.

Scripture: Genesis 8:20-22
Thought for Today: “A Fresh New Day – 2012″

In our text we see the ultimate transitional moment in Noah’s experience with God. Noah builds an Altar! A Place of Worship, Prayer & Surrender.

There emerges from any of our journeys 2 points of view.
1. God’s Big Picture …and… 2. Our Perception of how it feels to us.

When you and I are about to enter a new season in our lives or ministries, there can be some transitional issues. Transition is simply the journey from point A to point B. Yet how well we move through transition has a lot to do with our focus.

Why Build an Altar?

Altars maintain our focus on God. God has called us His workmanship and has created us for good works (Eph 2:10)… works that He will be faithful to complete if we allow it. I want to encourage the activity of building altars that please the heart of God. Not only is there a clear pattern of relationship with God, but supernatural power gets released from altar building.

3 Things Come from Building Altars:
1st) The soothing aroma pleases God!
2nd) We find ourselves in a place where we hear His heartbeat!
3rd) A fresh new day is embraced!

Altars Align the Heart:

Deepen your commitment, your covenant and your character by building altars that allow God to show you His view of the seasons. While the Earth remains, there will be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night. None of these things will cease, but all of them have the potential to become seasons of revival if you and I will focus our faith on God.

Be Blessed as we enter our 21 days of Prayer and Fasting. Cling to Jesus and a new day will emerge. (Eph 3:7-16)
