Contrast Of Our Day

“Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you.” (Isa. 60:2)

We stand at a critical juncture in World history. The Holy Spirit is visiting His people with power as darkness continues to increase. The light is getting brighter as the darkness is becoming darker. The onslaught of demonic activity is increasing in our classrooms, boardrooms, courtrooms and bedrooms. These are critical moments for the Church of Jesus Christ and the Nation of Israel, to rediscover their understanding of the Truth and begin to walk as Children of Light. The Spirit is speaking clearly and many are responding to the voice of God with wholehearted commitment. The greatest revival in history is soon to come… and yet, it is darkest before the dawn. Our hearts must remain full of faith.

The Enormous Contrast:

We know from looking into the Word of God, that a great awakening is soon to sweep across the nations. We look with confidence to God’s promises to pour out His Spirit on all flesh. It is God’s will to empower His people and enable a generation to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. What a privilege to live in this awesome hour of history!

  • “It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams… I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy… before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” (Acts 2:17-20)
  • “This gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Mt. 24:14)
  • “I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne…” (Rev. 7:9)

The Spirit is speaking directly about the amazing contrast or “clash of kingdoms” that will be experienced, while a move of God emerges in the midst of world crisis. We are experiencing even today, in our generation, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit; while at the same time darkness is covering the Earth. There is no denying this reality. These are the early days of the great end-time outpouring of the Spirit, spoken of by the Prophet Joel and the Apostle Peter. In this last days move of the Spirit we will see a release of the miracles seen in the book of Acts and judgments (plagues or curses) similar to the book of Exodus… combined and multiplied on a global scale.

We have never seen days like these before… yet there will be a remnant of believers arise in strength and power (Rev. 12:9-11)

The Ministry of Forerunners:

Today’s Church must awaken the sleeping Saint! We are warriors waiting for strategic plans for the final conquest of our day. The Church’s voice… our voice must prepare believers for the coming revival of increased knowledge of the glory of God… while we resist the encroaching forces of darkness. There is a great need for the prophetic voice of forerunners! Those who will speak with clarity into the confusion and disorder. Forerunners do three powerful things that engage the remnant…

  1. Forerunners announce the coming of Jesus… as well as the contrasting signs of these last days.
  2. Forerunners advance the Kingdom of God… proclaiming the power of Jesus as they win the lost, heal the sick, help the poor and walk in holiness.
  3. Forerunners abide in love… positioning themselves to receive more from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God for personal transformation.

Forerunners must hear what the Spirit is saying to them in this hour and act on it. It is time for them to live in a new depth of obedience and responsiveness to the Holy Spirit. Even in this hour, the Lord is now calling some to embrace a season of rigorous preparation that will equip them to effectively proclaim their message in the midst of the coming pressures. The contrast is most real when the light is most brilliant!

“…called out of darkness – into the light!” (1 Pet. 2:9)
