Don’t Miss Visitation

“And when He (Jesus) drew near and saw the city He wept over it, saying, Would that even today you knew the things that make for peace! But now they are hid from your eyes. For the days shall come upon you, when your enemies will cast up a bank about you and surround you, and hem you in on every side, and dash you to the ground, you and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation.” (Mt. 19:41-44)

Don’t miss your day or hour of visitation, simply because you are impatient or dealing with doubts. One of the things I notice about the words of Jesus here, is that missing our day of visitation effects us, our children and those that are still in the womb. This speaks a spiritual truth about destiny… visitation effects the seeds of our future as much as the season we are in!

  • Let me repeat that: Visitation affects the seeds of our future!

Seeds of Destiny:

Jesus was very deliberate in His ministry, because He was laying a foundation for how future generations would see God! Visiting towns, villages, cities, and regions by foot was not easy, but it was demonstrating the intentional priority of His ministry… casting seed everywhere. Jesus traveled systematically from place to place and offered a look into His strategy for regional transformation! Wherever He went, there was breakthrough… works of healing, miracles, deliverance and the breaking in of God’s Kingdom.

  • Jesus attended a wedding in Cana, and water was turned into wine! (John 2)
  • Jesus went into Nain, and a widow’s son was raised from the dead! (Luke 7)
  • Jesus traveled by boat to Gadara, and a man was freed from demonic possession! (Mark 5)
  • On the road out of Jericho, a blind man was healed! (Mark 10)
  • By a well in Samaria, a woman who had lived a life of shame, met Jesus and turned into an evangelist! (John 4)

In every place Jesus visited… people saw differently and their future shifted direction. In the ministry of Jesus, destiny was transformed forever; and even today we are products of its impact! Visitation is God’s opportunity to bring the Kingdom in a powerful way, to a new generation and for the purpose of changing the way we do everything. People can resist it…

But if they receive – they will never see the same way again!
