Its A Choice!

“In everything give thanks; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for you!” (2 Thess. 5:18)

Everyday, I’m faced with the choice to dwell on my circumstances and give Satan the glory, or to focus my attention on God! God is fully able to supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19). I believe it; but I must conceive it – inside, before it gets birthed in my reality. The goal is to walk by faith and have a peaceful day. Its a choice then that I must make… to remain focused on God. No its not hype, its living in the Blessing of God.

So, what’s it look like and how do we stop worrying? How does blessing become reality?

1st - Recognize that worry is putting faith in your fears!

And that has to stop immediately… for the greater the attack, the bigger the blessing! Remind yourself that the devil is a liar, who is wanting to rob you of your destiny.

2nd – Begin praising God and watch your Blessing open up!

You’ve come too far to give up now. Keep going – keep praising! Your blessing is right around the corner. It feels like midnight, but there is a little bit of morning outside!

  • At times when you feel like God is nowhere to be found, that’s when He is closer than you can imagine.
  • At times when you’re weak and feel you have no more strength left, that’s when God says My strength is made perfect in your weakness.
  • At times when you feel you can’t go another day; God says yes you can. You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you.
  • And when things get hard - praise hard! Keep pushing your way to your breakthrough.

When we are facing hard times, it is so tempting to dwell on the stuff you see in front of you. Satan is jumping up and down and waving at you in the midst of your situation saying, “Look over here! Look at me!”

And all the while God is whispering, “Keep your eyes on the only One who can fix it… Me!”

3rd – Keep your Eyes on the Prize!

Most of the time we are more worried by our expectation than our reality. We must stop paying attention to the distractions that clutter our mind. A cluttered mind has great difficulty hearing the soft whispers of the Holy Spirit. No matter what! Fight to keep your heart and mind centered on Christ! He met His goal, so that you could accomplish yours!

We are “looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb. 12:2)
