Moment of Truth

There is a place in God where the sound of His voice satisfies the desire of our heart. Its a place the Psalmist David called ”stillness”.

He said, “be still and know that I am God” (Ps 46:10).

The rebellion and stubbornness of our own pride is so dealt with there that we are transformed into faithful bondservants. Our ears become “pierced” (plowed) by His hand; showing the intimate marriage between our ear and His voice (Isa 50:4-5). We are becoming completely His… just for His pleasure. He is patiently calling us and those with an open ear are responding.

The cry of God is clear: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts and do not refuse Him Who speaks” (Heb 3:7-8, Heb 12:25).

The Apostle Paul told us that a veil or curtain is lifted when our affections are turned toward the Lord… liberty is given and we behold Him as in a mirror. The glory that envelopes our heart increases and transforms us into the same image by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Cor 3:15-18).

When the Spirit of the Lord touches our spirit or whispers into our ear, we must be very careful for this is the moment of truth.

These are the moments of sensitivity, where our choices – big and small alike – will determine whether or not we are eligible for promotion. Those who choose wisely, with an understanding heart, will grow and find greater peace and favor from the Presence of God. In time, this sensitivity to His Spirit in us will mature and bring us into an increasing partnership with the Lord as He works to further His Kingdom purposes in and through us in these last days.
