Our Deliverer

Here it is… the fact of all facts! “Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (Ps 124:8).

Our help does not rest in some impersonal set of “laws”; but from a real honest relationship with God. We have come to expect His intervention in our lives, because it has been our experience within the context of a relationship. We do not come to the place of worship to celebrate a mechanical set of rules, like a 12-step program that should lead to our deliverance! Our help is in a Person… whom we have come to know as LORD! The Creator of heaven and earth looked upon us with favor, loved us and delivered us.

He has made a way for us in spite of everything that would have overcome us and entrapped us. When men would have swallowed us, God delivered us (Ps 124:1-3). When circumstances would have overwhelmed us, God saved us (Ps 124:4-5). When the enemy had snared and imprisoned us, God broke the snare and set us free (Ps 124:6-7).

We have every right to glorify Him, because He is “Our Deliverer”!

Worship is our celebration of God’s deliverance. No more bondage and no more chains, no more shackles and no more pains… no more pointless paths of fear and no more shame… Christ is Here! “And whom the Son sets free is free indeed” (Jn 8:36).

Live big in Him… this is your invitation!
