Transforming Culture

Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” (Mt. 28:18-19)

Have you understood your mission… as a quest to disciple nations!

RevivalHut Ministry is connecting Christian leaders, who will plug into a 3 year training program… to an unfathomable adventure in Kingdom Pursuits. We call these spiritual incubators – Apostolic Training Centers. They are not just Bible Studies, but a life course… like a journey that molds raw humanity into true disciples of Christ. There are so many important transitions that must be made within our mindsets and our personal convictions in order to fulfill the mandate of Jesus, who said “pick up your cross and follow Me”.

I would like for you to consider your fellow Christian brothers as leaders and part of your team… a Kingdom Team! You will not be in competition for anything, but looking to advance the Kingdom for the benefit of all the churches in the region, as well as all the people within reach of those congregations. We are aiming at transforming the culture… beliefs, activities and governing structures must be looked at through a new and fresh perspective – through the Biblical Truth revealed in Jesus.

7 Mountains of Influence:

“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.” (Isaiah 2:2)

We promote the idea that all societies emerge and define themselves by 7 platforms or spheres of influence…

1) family, 2) education, 3) government, 4) business, 5) the arts & entertainment 6) media & communication and 7) religion.

If our goal is to transform culture, then we as God’s Kingdom People must be disciplined and authentic; as well as being lead by the Holy Spirit. We need to see ministry as part of every sphere of society and we need to make an impact. We need Kingdom minded Business People, Entertainers, Scientists, Government Officials, etc. – and we need to gain ground in the arenas of the spirit by ruling well in the midst of the opportunities God offers us.

So the key is to know God and understand that He created these models of influence and understands how they should function properly from His perspective. We must be trained in spiritual truth so that we can obey the prayer of Jesus (Mt. 6:10) praying, believing and demonstrating Kingdom Impact – “that His Kingdom would come and His Will would be done on earth as it is in heaven”. We believe the Bible speaks directly to us and unlocks the truth of how God’s People can become His disciples and walk in His Glory, ruling well and releasing cultural transformation.

And we are watching it happen in regions all over the world.

The Strategies: Psalm 133

Some of the steps that are important are 1) developing networks of visionary Christian leaders, 2) gathering these leaders for prayer and training sessions, 3) encouraging one another and celebrating achievements as a team and 4) honoring one another as fruitful laborers in the vineyard within our reach. As Psalm 133 proclaims to us… that is where God commands the blessing! In the midst of anointed Kingdom minded Leaders – united for the purpose of advancing God’s agendas in the Earth.

This is the basis for the RevivalHut Network. This is the priority that sustains revival fire and a passion for cultural change. Our hope is to empower leaders to see themselves differently, yet consider that God sees ministry in all arenas of life not just pulpit ministry, like those who preach as pastor or teacher. We invite ladies and men, we encourage business people and educators and develop passion for the community we serve, because we believe the Church must become the unified force for change in the Earth. Its not about how many people come to our churches, but how many leaders are influencing the culture for the Kingdom of God. Yes we see wonderful Church growth, but even more we see practical changes being made in society.

“…teaching them to observe all the things I have committed to you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Mt. 28:20)

That Same Anointing

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God.” (2 Cor. 1:21)

Carrying the same “Christ Anointing” is the spiritual reality of what being a Christian is all about! We should be familiar with how the anointing fits upon our lives and carry it faithfully everywhere we go! It is the Holy Spirit’s power poured out (Acts 1:8) that breaks yokes (Isa 10:27) and destroys the works of the devil (1 Jn 3:8). Yet this will require a lifestyle of reaching forward consistently for more of Christ.

What to Expect:

Its not information, but power… life transforming power. Its not inspiration, its pure spiritual strength. Its not desperate, its a supernatural walk of faith. We trust in God who still does miracles, so we must move with authority and confidence in God’s will. We are not working out our religious service, we are reaching forward to carry something that rests upon us… just as it rested upon Jesus (Jn 14:12). It will feel like a readiness on the inside and a sense of purpose on the outside.

Revival Fire:

The flame that burns within our heart is fueled by that which we see through the eyes of faith. We are reaching and gaining a more excellent prize than gold or human favor. In carrying the prize, we must guard ourselves from the love of selfish ambition and people pleasing. Our reaching forward is to lay hold of Christ…

He is the Desire of the Nations (Hag 2:7)
…and the Hope of Glory (Col 1:27).

Daniel’s Words

The clearest picture we have of a satanic principality ruling over a nation is found in the ninth and tenth chapters of the book of Daniel. These chapter’s describe what happened after the Prophet Daniel set himself to fast and pray until he received revelation concerning the prophetic future of the nation of Israel (which was being held captive by the nation of Persia).

Daniel’s Season of Prayer & Fasting:

After twenty-one days of seeking the Lord, an angel approached Daniel and explained why it took so long for his prayers to be answered. The angel comes to respond to Daniel’s heart, “Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand… thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia” (Dan. 10:12-13).

  1. Notice, the angel was sent to answer Daniel’s prayer on the first day of his fast, but he was hindered in his journey by the prince of the kingdom of Persia.
  2. Notice also the mention of the word “prince” in this verse. Both times they are translated from the Hebrew “sar”, which means a chief ruler, leader or commander over an army.

Since the earthly ruler of Persia could not hinder an angel from completing his assignment, and the chief prince Michael is commonly known to be an angel of the highest order, the term “prince of Persia” must refer to the satanic ruler of the spiritual kingdom of darkness that operated over the physical nation of Persia.

Princes & Principalities:

There are principalities that rule in the realm of the spirit over cities, regions, nations and governments. Some of these spiritual powers are good, and some are evil. Revelation 12:7 tells us, “And there was a war in heaven (ouranos – the abode of God, also the spirit realm); Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (satan); and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not…” Angelic forces are doing battle in the heavenly realm even as you read this, fighting one another to gain control over the regions of the earth.

A messenger angel was dispatched to bring Daniel revelation from God concerning the prophetic future of the nation of Israel; but he did not possess enough power or authority to break through the forces of darkness that were controlling the spiritual regions above Persia. Michael is one of the chief princes of heaven. Everytime you find him mentioned in Scripture, he is doing battle with the spiritual forces of darkness. So, Michael was sent to engage the forces of darkness and to open up a highway for the lesser angel to pass through and deliver God’s message to Daniel. The last part of verse thirteen says, “…I remained there with the kings of Persia”, indicating that the messenger angel was restricted by the forces of darkness until Michael set him free, allowing him to resume his journey.

Then, after he delivered his message, the angel said, “…and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come” (Dan. 10:20). The angel had to fight his way back out of the earthly kingdom by doing battle, once again, with the satanic principality that ruled over Persia.

Daniel’s Words:

It’s important for us to realize that Daniel’s prayers were the catalyst that released the angelic forces of God to break the stronghold the prince of darkness had over the nation of Persia. Once the satanic principality was broken, the earthly kingdom of Persia was finished as a world power. History tells us that the kingdom of Greece rose to greatness in 334 B.C. and destroyed the Persian empire. The prince of Grecia, which refers to the satanic principality that governed over the Grecian Empire, empowered Alexander the Great and his armies to conquer much of the world.

Dominion Reality:

I have heard the critics speak negatively about the theology of dominions, but this story clearly indicates the power and authority that angelic principalities have over nations and regions of the earth. It also tells us the important role that our prayers have in releasing the forces of God to break the devil’s stronghold. The angel told Daniel, “… I am come for thy words”. In other words, Daniel’s prayers were the active agent that precipitated a change in the heavenly realm over Persia.

In Matthew 6:10, Jesus told us to pray, “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (“ouranos” – the dwelling place of God, and the abode of angels). God’s will is not automatically worked in the earth or in your life; it must be prayed through. Today, I encourage you to begin to value your words in prayer. Don’t let them fall upon the ground without expecting something… see spiritually and engage your faith to believe that angels are ready to lift your needs into the sphere of God’s hearing.

Its possible that your neighbor, your city or an entire nation is counting on your words!

Advance the Kingdom

In the Great Commission, Jesus came and spoke to the remaining Apostles, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” (Mt. 28:18-20)

  • “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” (Lk. 24:49)
  • “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

The Great Commission was the Apostolic Mandate designed to delegate and release authority to the apostles for the Kingdom of God to Advance. It was meant to stir the valiant heart, so that simple men would find their destiny. Yet, that which these men carried was feeble and frail… like dry wood awaiting a flame. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit was the flame, a mighty rushing wind that would release power to accomplish God’s mandate. Without this authorization and spiritual flame working together, there would be no progress beyond Jerusalem and no impact in the Nations. But because of it… the Church is a Triumphant People fully engaged and fully equipped by the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

This is our Mandate…

To Go… in the authority and power of our King – Jesus! Christ is Head of the Church and the True Light of Salvation, yet He is also the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit. He is the One in whom we hope for the fulfillment of our call in reaching the unreached.

It Requires Authority & Power:

The Apostolic Mandate cannot function on human strength, it is designed to necessitate an outpouring of authority and power from heaven. We follow Jesus as Lord of the breakthrough, who breaks us out of confined places and leads with Kingdom influence into all the World. This was the purpose for waiting for the Promise of the Father in the earliest moments after the resurrection, to establish the platform for advancement. This was not some optional request, but a central focus for the followers… to wait for power was and still remains the key to success in the future purposes of God, in Christ.

The Prophet Micah: “The One who breaks open will come up before them; they will break out, pass through the gate and go out by it; Their King will pass before them, with the Lord at their head.” (Micah 2:13)

The Prophet Joel: “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29)

The Apostle Peter: “And they shall prophesy” (Acts 2:18). Note – prophecy is a forward speaking, declaration of God’s purposes empowered by the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is the voice of Kingdom Advancement!

The Early Church Advanced:

  1. Beginning in Jerusalem: “So those who received the word were baptized and there were added that day about 3,000 souls.” (Acts 2:41)
  2. Advancing beyond the City of Samaria: “Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the Word.” (Acts 8:4)
  3. Among Gentiles of Caesarea: “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the Word.” (Acts 10:44)
  4. Into Regions of Galatia: “So the churches were strengthened in the faith and they increased in numbers daily.” (Acts 16:5)
  5. Throughout Regions of Ephesus: “So the Word of the Lord grew and prevailed mightily.” (Acts 19:20)

Defining Destiny:

Under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Matthew and Luke are defining destiny. One Apostle lays out the mandate while the other lays out the keys to its fulfillment. They are laying the platform for how we must see our future. Luke speaks to us of the triumphs of the Gospel of the Kingdom, because we must understand where our strength comes from. The Battle Is the Lord’s and we are His volunteers, following our advancing King. We must not just settle for an assignment… we must become people of triumph who take the next step, under the authority and power of the Holy Spirit.

“…from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Mt. 11:12)

These are the Days of Great Purpose – Where a People of Triumph… Advance the Kingdom of God!

Words that Break In

“Is not My word like a fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock? (Jer. 23:29)

“Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Heb. 3:15)

When the Word of God breaks in… it creates pathways for faith and advancement!

Recently I have been feeling the need to hear the Word of God on a completely different level. I want to hear with a depth of understanding that delivers and restores and brings revival to my heart. God’s Words offer supernatural impact to the soul of a man, because it shatters misconceptions. Jesus said, “truth will set you free!” Truth is who Jesus is! Truth is reality from God’s perspective! Knowing Him and allowing His voice to resonate in our mind will consistently change the way we see and think. There is nothing too big or too difficult for the Word of God to clarify and “shatter like a rock”… as Jeremiah says in the above verse. But it must first… break in to do it!

God Still Speaks Today!

He said, I AM the Lord your God, I change not! Faith is so important, because it gives us the ears to hear the voice of God. Faith is the most potent force in the entire universe. According to the Bible; taking God seriously by believing His Promises, provides: “power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing” (Rev. 5:12)… all of this comes through the breaking in of the Word of God.

God’s Voice Rests in His Words:

God’s voice carries weight. From thunder and lightning (2 Sam. 22:14) to the sound of His whisper (1 Ki. 19:12)… God’s voice is mighty. It makes the wilderness shake, breaks the cedars and calls the chaotic into order. God speaks and power is released… things are created, re-created, mobilized or stilled. It was His Word that He sent to heal the sick (Ps. 107:20), His voice that made the deer give birth (Ps. 29:9) and the recognition of His Name that raised Lazarus from the dead (Jn. 11:43). We must realize that every time God’s voice is heard something shifts in the atmosphere of both heaven and earth… purpose flows forth and power is released. Its as significant as when God commanded the Sun to stand still for Joshua (Josh. 10:12-13), decreed a healing for a Centurion’s servant (Mt. 8:8) or compelled a storm to become calm with just one word – “Peace” (Mk. 4:39). What makes His voice carry such weight is His Authority! He rules the universe at the sound of His voice and holds all things together; from the grandest mountain range to the smallest molecule, by the word of His power.

How does God Speak to Us Today?

  1. He speaks directly: As He spoke with Abram! (Gen. 12:1-3) “Come out of your father’s house, to a land that I will show you”
  2. He speaks through Scripture: As He spoke to Isaiah! (Isa. 34:16) “Search from the Book of the Lord and read…”
  3. He speaks through His Spirit: As He spoke to the waiting Disciples! (Acts 2:4) “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”.
  4. He speaks as we minister to Him: As He spoke into the Early Church leaders! (Acts 13:2) “As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said…”

Jesus assures us; that as the Holy Spirit had spoken to Him, so also the Holy Spirit would speak the will and purposes of God to us… if we would be willing to listen: “He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. …All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.” (Jn. 16:12-15)

The Apostle Peter tells us that believers have obtained a “like precious faith” (2 Pet. 1:1-4) …the same kind of faith that is alive in all who have trusted in Jesus. Faith offers supernatural grace and possibility to human frailty. These “faith people” are empowered with divine knowledge and become partakers of a divine nature. How? Through the Word of God that breaks in… past doubt and unbelief and lands upon the hearing ear and the receptive heart!

Jesus looked at our weakness and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!” (Mt. 19:26). By receiving, believing and declaring the Word of God over all that pertains to life and godliness – we walk in a victory given by God. We see the mountains fall, the valleys raised up and the impossibilities achieved… because of precious faith. There is power in God’s promises and there are Kingdom advancements made available by the works He has accomplished in Jesus!

And all we have to do is be found trusting, and the Words that break in; become activated… like “fire” or a “hammer” in our lives.
