Secret of the Glory

“At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him, He turned around to the crowd and asked; “Who touched my clothes?”. “You see the people crowding around you – and yet You can ask ‘Who touched Me?’” His disciples asked. But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. The woman came and fell at His feet trembling with fear and told Him the whole truth. He said to her; “Daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering”. (Mk 5:30-34)

This is an amazing story, because Jesus did not walk through the crowd looking for His next victim. There was no deep revelation in His mind that somewhere in the crowd was a woman with an issue of blood. Not at all! Yet that is often how people think of healing. “If only He would get a word for me?” We have seen so much showmanship and we have little understanding of the Glory of God.

Jesus healed all who came to Him, because He carried an anointing that released the perfect will of God (Lk 4:18-21).

Jesus said that He only did what He saw His Father do. Notice: She had heard about Him! She heard that Jesus was healing everyone and that power was going out of Him at the very touch of His garment. Her thought… “If I can just touch the hem of His garment.” What was the secret she understood? It was the secret of the Glory of God. She knew in her heart that God was good and that doctors had failed to cure her.

  • He didn’t pray for this woman.
  • He didn’t give her a healing!
  • He didn’t lay His hands on her.
  • She touched His garment and her faith placed a demand on His anointing… the Glory of God!

You see, the real secret we must uncover in our day is the secret of the Glory of God! The Apostle Paul said, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:19). There are riches in the Glory that are yet untapped, because we have not pressed in to touch, or put a demand upon the anointing that rested on Jesus.

Worship:

When you and I enter His Presence, awaken our senses to the voice of the Holy Spirit and wade into His atmosphere in worship; we are touching spiritual substance. Let me repeat that… “we are touching spiritual substance!” Its unseen with human eyes, but through faith we can navigate through the realms of Glory and fellowship with God. That is the time to put a demand upon the resources made available by the heavenly Promises of God.

Our Inheritance:

Touch the hem of His garment… go ahead and pull upon the rich inheritance He has purchased for you. Don’t wait to get to heaven or hope for a preacher to get a word for you. Your inheritance is for you… even now (Eph 1:13-14) and you can access it by faith today. Tell Jesus the whole story, but then look for His goodness to show up in your need.

He is still asking “Who touched Me?”

God Thoughts

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor 2:13-16)

From childhood we’ve heard, “God said, let there be…” and the world came into existence. We’ve read in the Bible that He “spoke” to people and helped them when they were in trouble. We’ve heard testimonies of how God “spoke” to people concerning certain issues in their lives. These are valid expressions of how God communicates with people. But what if you could hear the “thoughts” of God? Perhaps you become so “tuned in” to God that you can actually sense what He’s thinking! So, if this is were true, it would be possible to navigate your life by sensing His thoughts! Asking, imagining, and dreaming are just the beginning of where God could take us, if we truly knew what He was thinking (Eph. 3:20).

Here are some things to consider:

  • The word “thought” in the Bible literally means “plan, purpose or intention”. In other words, the thoughts of God involve His good intentions for your life (Jer. 29: 11)(Eph. 1:9). The Bible is full of His good intentions (Jn. 10:10).
  • God is constantly aware of you and what’s happening in your life (Ps. 40:5)(Ps. 139:13-17). He has so many good thoughts about you that if He shared them all, you could never count them!
  • God loves you so much that He wants to share His thoughts with you (Jn. 15:15)(1 Cor. 2:9-10). God’s original intention was for you to represent Him and His character on the earth. The only way you can do that is to be able to think like He thinks (1 Jn. 2:20)(1 Jn. 2:27).
  • God doesn’t think the way you think (Isa. 55:7-11). For those who may think that God wants to punish you when you mess up, I’ve got good news! Though God is just, He is also infinitely merciful. He looks for ways to show mercy and forgiveness toward you! (Ps. 103:8-18)

Holy Spirit & Abundant Living:

God’s knows you better than you know yourself. This means He is able to guide you to what’s best for you and guard you from things that could trip you up later in life. God has a wonderful plan that personally fits who you are… and it’s just waiting for you. It is the Abundant Life! This takes the strain out of a trial and error, searching for a career or trying to find some purpose in life. When you trust in God’s Son, Jesus; He gives you the ability to think like He thinks! This is not mental telepathy …it’s the Holy Spirit living inside of you – God living in you!

God is Still Thinking about You!

Pay close attention to the Holy Spirit, He lives inside and speaks to those who place their faith in Christ. As you hear God’s thoughts and draw close to Him in prayer, He will instruct you, teach you and guide you (Jn. 16:13). The audible voice is the communication of the natural man, but the mind of Christ is the voice of the Spirit resinating in the heart. The Bible calls it an unction of the Holy Spirit… like a nudge on the inside. Picking up the still small voice inside is what abundant living is all about. You have the mind of Christ… it was placed in you, when you set your heart to know Him. If you will pay attention… you will discover He is still thinking about you.

“Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 2:5)

Who Touched Me?

“At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from Him, He turned around to the crowd and asked; “Who touched my clothes?”. “You see the people crowding around you – and yet You can ask ‘Who touched Me?’” His disciples asked. But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. The woman came and fell at His feet trembling with fear and told Him the whole truth. He said to her; “Daughter your faith has healed you. • He didn’t pray for this woman.
  • He didn’t give her a healing!
  • He didn’t lay His hands on her.
  • She sneaked up behind Him and touched Him and her faith made a demand on the anointing.

You see, the real secret we must uncover in our day is the secret of the Glory of God! The Apostle Paul said, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:19).
